Story Synopsis

Berlin is a city built on movement, routine, and systems that quietly keep millions of lives in order.

Elena Voz understands those systems better than most.

Intelligent, composed, and remarkably ordinary, Elena lives a quiet professional life shaped by work, coffee, familiar streets, and evenings with Hansi Dietter Hofmann—the man who knows her well enough to recognize her silences, but perhaps not everything behind them.

Then people begin to die.

The incidents appear unrelated. Different places. Different circumstances. Nothing that suggests a crime, much less a connection.

But Hansi notices something.

Not in the deaths themselves, but in the small conditions surrounding them: interruptions, corrections, timing, and ordinary events that seem to align in strangely familiar ways.

What begins as private curiosity becomes an uncomfortable question. Then another.

As Hansi learns to stop looking at outcomes and starts looking at the structures that precede them, the distance between coincidence and intention begins to narrow.

And somewhere inside that narrowing distance stands Elena.

The woman he loves.

The woman who understands systems.

And perhaps the one person he should never have learned how to see.

ELENA VOZ — Berlin Protocol is a psychological mystery about love, perception, ordinary systems, and the terrifying possibility that the most dangerous patterns are the ones designed to look like nothing at all.

Main Characters

Elena Voz

Protagonist

Elena Voz is an intelligent and composed systems professional living in Berlin. Elegant without trying to attract attention, warm without revealing too much, she has an instinctive ability to see relationships, dependencies, sequences, and conditions where others simply see ordinary life. To Hansi, Elena is familiar, affectionate, quietly funny, and deeply human—the woman beside him at dinner, over coffee, and through the small rituals of an established relationship. But Elena's calm way of understanding the world carries an unsettling precision. She notices what others overlook, and the closer the story moves toward her perspective, the harder it becomes to determine where observation ends and intention begins.

Hansi Dietter Hofman

Deuteragonist / Observer

Hansi Dietter Hofmann is a disciplined and observant professional whose curiosity begins with a handful of incidents that should mean nothing. He is not a detective by nature, nor does he begin with a suspect. Instead, Hansi repeatedly tries to prove his own suspicions wrong. What troubles him is not evidence of violence, but a recurring structure hidden inside otherwise ordinary events. His greatest complication is Elena. He loves her, trusts her, and understands enough about the way she thinks to recognize something strangely familiar in the pattern he is studying. As his ability to see develops, Hansi is forced to confront an increasingly difficult question: can he follow evidence honestly when it begins to move toward someone he cannot bear to lose?
