Story Synopsis

Kang Min-jae has built a life around things that can be understood.

As a senior system analyst in Seoul, he spends his days finding contradictions, tracing causes, and turning uncertainty into something logical. His life is orderly, predictable, and mostly comfortable that way.

Han Seo-yeon has built something entirely different.

In a quiet flower shop called April, Again, she spends her days surrounded by things that grow, change, bloom, and eventually disappear.

Years ago, Min-jae and Seo-yeon were part of each other's lives.

Then they weren't.

There was no single betrayal, no dramatic goodbye, and no one moment either of them could blame. Somewhere between work, expectations, arguments, assumptions, and everything they stopped saying, they simply stopped finding their way back to each other.

Until Min-jae walks into April, Again.

What begins as an unexpected reunion slowly becomes a second chance to discover who they have become — and whether loving someone again means returning to the past, or learning to love the person who exists now.

But some things from the past have a strange way of returning.

And when they do, Min-jae and Seo-yeon will have to confront a question neither of them ever expected to ask:

If something we once loved returns exactly as we remember it, does that make it the same?

APRIL, AGAIN is a story about love, memory, identity, change, and the quiet difference between remembering a life and truly living one.

Main Characters

Min-jae

Main Protagonist

Kang Min-jae, 34, is a senior system analyst living and working in Seoul. Intelligent, observant, composed, and quietly funny, Min-jae is accustomed to understanding the world through logic. He looks for causes, contradictions, and rules — even when dealing with things that cannot easily be reduced to any of them. He is not cold, but he can be frustratingly practical. He often tries to solve problems when the person beside him only wants to be heard, and he sometimes understands systems more easily than people. Years after a relationship he once believed was firmly behind him, an ordinary visit to a flower shop brings him face to face with Han Seo-yeon again. Min-jae remembers the woman she used to be. His greater challenge will be learning to see the woman she has become.

Seo-Yeon

Main Protagonist

Han Seo-yeon, 32, is a florist and the owner of a small flower shop in Seoul called April, Again. Warm, independent, quietly stubborn, and armed with a subtle sense of humor, Seo-yeon has created a life that belongs entirely to her. She understands flowers in much the same way she has learned to understand life: beautiful things do not remain unchanged simply because we want them to. Years have passed since Kang Min-jae was part of her everyday world. When he unexpectedly walks through the door of April, Again, Seo-yeon discovers that remembering someone is much easier than deciding what place they should have in the life she has built since. She is still Han Seo-yeon. Just not the Han Seo-yeon Min-jae remembers.
